Our Company

While Electric Motor Specialties has been around since the early 1980's, Dixon and Katie Ames have owned it since April of 2015. With Dixon and Katie at the helm, EMS is now the only motor shop in Chautauqua County offering repair and service to medium voltage motors and we aim to continue growing our business and service offerings.

With over a decade in management, sales, and purchasing, Katie has what it takes to lead EMS into the future. She manages the company and it's books while being a full time stay at home mom.

Having grown up in the electric motor repair industry, Dixon has had a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the business from a young age. When he isn't working on motors, he is working on his farm or enjoying the outdoors either fishing or hunting,
